Rhys McCabe
Scottish,
Midfielder

HAVING made a real impact for the under-19s, Rhys signed a contract extension in December 2011 which keeps him at Ibrox until the summer of 2015.

A scorer for Rangers in the 2011 Scottish Youth Cup Final at Hampden, the exciting midfielder made his first-team debut in a pre-season friendly victory versus Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

After making a real impression on manager Ally McCoist, he also featured against the likes of Liverpool and Hamburg, as well as making the bench for a number of SPL games in 2011/12.

He was handed his competitive debut against Hearts in the SPL on March 3.

McCabe is someone the coaching staff rate highly. Small in stature, yet he makes up for it with many of the same attributes shown over the last couple of seasons by Steven Naismith.

Rhys is someone fans should look out for as McCoist continues to integrate the youngster into the first-team set up.
