Cap Calls For Ladies

Tue, Oct 18, 2011

RANGERS Ladies stars Nicola Docherty and Alana Marshall have both been selected for Scotland's upcoming Euro 2013 qualifier with Wales in Edinburgh.

The Blue Belles pair are part of a 22-strong playing pool for the match at Tynecastle as Anna Signeul's side looks to build on its good start to the campaign.

Without Docherty and Marshall in the group, the Scots kicked off the qualifying process with a resounding 6-1 win in Israel last midweek.

Now they are looking to kick on with another victory in their opening home game of the preliminary stages prior to further meetings with the Republic of Ireland and France.

Docherty and Marshall were both involved in last month's friendlies with Finland and they played in the 7-2 victory in the capital.

As the first two Gers stars to be capped at full international level, they will hope to play some part in this match too.
